I was born in England but have been living in the U.S. since 1988. I’ve worked in the professional audio industry — as a touring musician, in live production, installed sound, and equipment sales and marketing — since November 1980. In 2000 I moved into publishing and have been writing and photographing for some of the industry’s trade magazines ever since.
On my IG page I focus on derelict buildings around the Antelope Valley region where I live, which is part of the Mojave Desert and an hour’s drive north of Los Angeles. Some of the buildings date back to the Gold Rush and early attempts at homesteading and agriculture. My approach is to treat them almost like real estate or architectural subjects while also emphasizing their remoteness in the landscape. I typically shoot these photos with an ultra-wide angle lens and a Nikon DSLR.
